What a wonderful evening it was at the Maritime Musical Moments at Writtle Village Hall. Chelmsford Male Voice Choir started the proceedings, singing some of their favourite tunes, such as Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Anthem and Nessun Dorma. They then handed over to The Motley Crew who entertained the audience with a range of sea shanties.

The second half started with Chelmsford Male Voice Choir - and they put on their best sailor voices singing their versions of sea shanties such as Santiana and Sloop John B. The audience joined in with the Wild Rover and then David - the bosun from The Motley Crew sang the lead in the Wellerman, with the chorus sung with gusto from Chelmsford Male Voice Choir.

The audience and choir were further entertained by The Motley Crew, with CMVC joining in with The Sailors Prayer - actions included. The evening ended with a rendition of The Drunken Sailor.

The Motley Crew wish to thank everyone who generously donated to the retiring collection for the RNLI.

The audience had a great evening and CMVC look forward to welcoming The Motley Crew back.
