What an afternoon!

On one of the hottest days of the year, Chelmsford Male Voice Choir joined Braintree Male Voice Choir, Braintree Voices and Great Waltham Village Choir in an afternoon of music from stage and screen.

Each choir had their own 'spotlight' moment (although, due to illness, CMVC had to sadly forgo their spotlight) and there were great performances of songs from the golden age of musicals to contemporary.

The highlights were when all the choirs joined together to sing numbers such as 'Another Openin' Another Show' and 'Thank You For The Music'. The concert finished with an encore when all choirs sang 'Always Look On The Bright Side Of LIfe' with the audience joining in.

Many thanks to all our audience members for coming out to support the concert in the hot weather - it is very much appreciated. Thank you as well for joining in with some of the numbers - an afternoon of enjoyment.

Thanks must go to Brenden (and Kate) from BMVC and members of the committee for organising the event. Also, a huge thank you to Claire Howell, who not only accompanied CMVC but accompanied all the choirs. She was ably supported by Mark Edwards on the drums - quite a team.

BMVC's next concert is on 28th June at St. Mary's Church, Dunmow as part of a charity concert organised by Dunmow Big Voices Community Choir.

CMVC's next concert is on 5th July at Writtle Village Hall. This is a joint concert with The Motley Crew, so it should be a fun evening.

GWVC's next concert is their Summer Soiree on 10th July at Great Waltham Primary School. Ticket price includes a BBQ.

Although Braintree Voices have not got an imminent concert, please check their website https://e-voice.org.uk/braintreevoices/ for further information.
